PREMIERE: THE FLASH Season 7 With Grant Gustin Debuts Tonight With The First of The Final 3 Mirrorverse Episodes

The Flash

All’s Well That Ends Wells.

The Flash season 7 premieres tonight with the first of the final three Mirrorverse episodes.

Star Grant Gustin explains:

Season 7 of The Flash finally premieres tonight after being off the air for the longest stretch of time since we debuted over 7 years ago. I’m super proud of the entire cast & crew for getting through the season up to this point. We’re currently in the middle of episode 711, and as most things in 2020 and 2021, it’s looked and felt a little different this year.

It’s not always easy to be shooting a tv show in the current state of the world and under certain restrictions, but I feel really lucky to not only have a job, but to have something familiar to channel my energy into. I know we’re closer to the end of this journey than we are to the beginning and I’m trying to enjoy it as much as possible. We’ll be picking up with what should’ve been the final three episodes of season 6, 2 of which had been almost entirely completed since last March. I hope everyone enjoys season 7!

Showrunner: Eric Wallace.

Cast: Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes,  Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton, Brandon McKnight, Jesse L. Martin and Tom Cavanaugh.

Season 7: After a thrilling cliffhanger which saw the new Mirror Mistress victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris. With help from the rest of Team Flash — which includes Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon and Nash Wells, as well as the Flash’s adoptive father Joe West, meta-attorney Cecile Horton, tough cub reporter Allegra Garcia and brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk — Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Mistress. But in doing so, he’ll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team — and his marriage — apart.

Final 3 Episodes of Graphic Novel #2.

Nash Wells sacrifices himself and the multitude of Wells in the opener Alls Well That Ends Wells to build an artificial Speed Force for Barry.

Iris is going mad in the Mirrorverse.

Cisco is MIA.

At least Caitlin/Killer Frost returns next week to help Barry defeat the Mirror Mistress (Caitlin/Killer Frost was written out at the end of season 6  to allow for Danielle Panabaker’s maternity leave but the long pandemic production shutdown meant  she could be back to film these holdover episodes last Fall).

Graphic Novel #3.

By episode 4 of season 7, The Flash  should be on to Graphic Novel #3 with a new Big Bad.

And hopefully we’ll meet the one true Godspeed at some point.

Let’s just say there was a certain speedster who wore a white costume whose clones kept showing up. Team Flash had to deal with that but we never caught the real guy or girl. We might find out that mystery this season. — Eric Wallace.

The Flash teased season 7’s Big Bad Godspeed at DC FanDome..

Godspeed unlike Reverse Flash has no emotional connection supposedly to the Flash. Why is Godspeed angry at the Flash? We’ve got to keep the show fresh. We’ve got more to say. — Eric Wallace.

The Flash was plagued with production delays and production pauses throughout the Fall but caught up by the new year.

Filming dates: October 9th to May 19th, 2021.

Filming in Vancouver:

Season 7 premieres Tuesday, March 2nd on The CW.
