LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Retires Nick Zano’s Nate Heywood / Steel in Season 7 Finale

Legends of Tomorrow retired Nick Zano’s Nate Heywood / Steel character on last night’s season 7 finale.

After six seasons as a Legend, Nate went out a hero saving Gwyn Davies’s love Alun on World War I’s western front.

But mustard gas on the battle field eroded his steel and made him a mortal man without superpowers, so he headed off for a life with Zari in the totem.

And what of evil robot Nate and his John Cena arms?

Thank you for the [John] Cena arms — Nick Zano to showrunner Phil Klemmer.

He was tricked into becoming the new Fixed Point guardian in Sarajevo 1914 for eternity.

Neither character is dead, so Nick Zano can come back for a guest spot if Legends of Tomorrow is renewed for season 8,

But not during Vancouver’s rainy season.

He told EW. he did not enjoy filming in “the raining woods” from November through February and those “3 a.m. Saturday mornings” shoots known as Fraturdays. “I think that’s what I’ll miss the least.”
