In DC lore, Red Death is vigilante version of Batman from Earth-52, a member of the Dark Kinights whose aim is to plunge the multiverse into darkness.
Update: But The Flash version could be a vigilante version of Batwoman not Batman, since Javicia Leslie is confirmed to be playing the mystery role.
