British Star Matthew Macfadyen Joins DEADPOOL 3 Filming in London

British star Matthew Macfadyen joins Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in Deadpool 3, filming in London this Spring and Summer.

The Succession alum’s role is unknown, but Macfadyen could be a character described as being a third wheel to Deadpool and Wolverine, according to Deadline: Hollywood.

Another chapter in the raunchy, violent, and of course, hilarious Deadpool series. Deadpool 3 will be a direct follow-up to Deadpool 2. Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), using Cable’s time machine will travel to save Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) from dying. Logan does not know who that guy is and wants him gone but using a time machine and changing history will get them on the TVA’s radar.

Deadpool 3 is the first Deadpool movie under the banner of Marvel Studios and its boss Kevin Feige, which usually shoots its big-budget movies in Atlanta or London not Vancouver (where the first two Deadpool filmed).

London filming dates: May 22 2023 – October 02 2023.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige told EW that to “have Hugh [Jackman] come back is incredible.” Feige’s career as a producer of Marvel projects started with the X-Men movies and he remembered being at Jackman’s first on-set audition. “For him, and for me, and I think for all of the fans of Marvel, it’s unbelievable what has happened in those 23 years. It’s very full-circle having him come back in this new Deadpool film.”

Ryan Reynolds is one of Vancouver’s own and when he brought the first two Deadpool movies to shoot here, the City of Vancouver obliged by closing down the Georgia Viaduct for weeks for OG Deadpool and much of downtown Vancouver for weeks for Deadpool 2.
