CAN I GET A WITNESS? With Sandra Oh Wraps Filming in Powell River, BC
Sandra Oh has wrapped shooting Canadian sci-fi feature Can I Get a Witness? in Powell River, B.C.
Written and directed by fellow Canadian Ann Marie Fleming, Can I Get a Witness is about humanity’s collective decision to die at age 50 so that future generations can survive on the planet.
In a not-too-distant future, the survival of all species hinges on humans’ collective sacrifice of dying at age 50. As part of this effort, young artists fresh out of high school like Kiah are drafted into service to document End-of-Life protocols. This includes documenting the ceremony for Kiah’s own mother.
Sandra Oh and Anne-Marie Fleming have collaborated before on the animated feature Window Horses.
