AMC’s LUCKY HANK With Bob Odenkirk is One & Done. Filmed in Vancouver.

Lucky Hank, with Bob Odenkirk as a cranky academic at badly underfunded Railton College, won’t get a second season of filming in Vancouver — where production was often spotted on the University of British Columbia campus.

AMC’s eight-episode mid-life crisis series was told in the first person by William Henry “Hank” Devereaux, Jr. (Bob Odenkirk), the unlikely chairman of the English department at a “mediocre” college in the Pennsylvania rust belt.

In the now series finale, Hank resigned from Railton College and unexpectedly joined his wife Lily in her studio New York apartment, filmed in downtown Vancouver.

AMC statement:

We’re proud of ‘Lucky Hank’ and thankful for the work of everyone who brought this unique, playful and deeply human show to viewers, from the talented creative team to our partners at Sony and, of course, Bob, Mireille and the entire cast and crew.

Unfortunately, we are not able to proceed with a second season, but we are glad these eight episodes exist on AMC+ and will continue to find new fans – or be seen again by viewers who come back to spend more time with Hank, Lily and the entertaining cast of characters at Railton College. — AMC
