A movie adaption of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, starring Longlegs breakout Maika Monroe, starts shooting in Calgary.
Reminders of Him follows Kenna Rowan (Marika Monroe), a young mother who returns to her hometown after serving five years in prison for a tragic accident. Determined to reunite with her daughter, who is being raised by her late boyfriend’s parents, Kenna faces judgment and resistance from the community, but nonetheless fights for redemption, forgiveness, and a second chance at love and motherhood.

Tyriq Withers from Atlanta as local bar owner Ledger Ward, best friend to Kenna’s late boyfriend Scotty Landry, father figure to her daughter.and Kenna’s second chance at love.
Rudy Pankrow from Outer Banks as Kenna’s late boyfriend Scotty Landry.
Lauren Graham as Scotty’s mother Grace Landry, who’s raising Kenna’s daughter.
Last summer’s Colleen Hoover adaption It Ends With Us became a massive hit, with global box office of $350 million, in spite of or maybe enhanced by a divisive press tour with stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni attacking each other through surrogates. Blake Lively later filed a lawsuit against Baldoni (her co-star and the director of the movie), Wayfarer Studios, Baldoni’s crisis PR team and others for sexual harassment and claims of damage to her reputation and brands. Baldoni counter-sued. Litigation is ongoing.
