Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender main cast — Gordon Cormier, ,Kiawentiio and Ian Ousley — have tossed their season 2 caps for season 3 caps as official production is set to begin on the final season.
Season 3 has some on-location filming in Iceland — its famous black sand beaches make an excellent Fire Nation.

Season 3 in Vancouver is slated to start production on June 25th. Check out the open casting call for Asian performers on its Earth Kingdom set at Port Moody’s Flavelle Mill site posted May 1st.

What’s Avatar: The Last Airbender about?
Aang (Gordon Cormier) the last Airbender and his friends Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley) from the Water Tribe must save the world by defeating Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim) and ending the destructive war with the Fire Nation.
Season one ended with Aang and his companions stopping the Fire Nation — led by Prince Zuko (Dallas Lee) , his uncle Iroh (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee),and Commander Zhao (Ken Leung) — from destroying the Northern Water Tribe, but it was a distraction from the larger war.
Zuko’s sister, Princess Azula (Elizabeth Yu), conquered Omashu, one of the two Earth Kingdom cities that had managed to stave off the Fire Nation and took King Bumi (Utkarsh Ambudkar) prisoner.
In the final two seasons, the four nations – Air, Water, Earth, Fire – unite “to bring The Legend of Aang to its proper conclusion”.
