If shapeshifting alien Harry doesn’t seem like himself in the Resident Alien season 4 premiere, it’s because our Harry is stuck in prison on the moon and a shapeshifting human-head-eating Mantid alien is Harry on Earth.
But when our Harry manages to escape the Greys Moonbase prison and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid, he finds he is no longer able to access his alien side. Our Harry is temporarily human.

Alan Tudy played both Harrys while directing the first two episodes, with Ladner BC playing the small town of Patience, Colorado.
Harry must escape an outer space prison to stop a dangerous threat in town.

Season 4 logline:
Harry (Alan Tudyk) and his baby Bridget (Kesler Talbot) are stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting alien called a Mantid has taken over his body (also Alan Tudyk) on Earth, passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid but soon finds he might not have what he needs to finish the job.
Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) struggle to keep a secret from Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson), who both are desperate to find answers to what has been happening to them. Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) attempt to solve some mysterious deaths in Patience that Sheriff Mike is beginning to think aren’t caused by anything human.
Prime suspect: Harry the human-head-eating mantid.

Harry’s cabin exteriors are filmed at Minaty Bay on the Sea to Sky Highway. Interiors are filmed in studio.
Ladysmith on Vancouver Island plays Main Street in Patience, but Fort Langley is another more convenient location for the Colorado town.
