
At The Interview with the Vampire panel at San Diego Comic Con, cast and creators announced a series name change to The Vampire Lestat for season 3, as the focus shifts to Sam Reid’s French vampire Lestat de Lioncour and his life as a rock star.

Seasons one and two of AMC’s new take on Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire books told vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson)’s story of love,, blood and the perils of immortality to a journalist (Eric Bogosian).
Interview with the Vampire centers on the life story of vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) as told to veteran journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) to whom he previously gave an unpublished interview in 1973.

An affluent black man in the 1910s New Orleans, Louis is romanced and later made a vampire by the charismatic Lestat de Lancourt (Sam Reid).But Louis struggles with his humanity, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the teenage vampire Claudia (Delainey Hayles), only strains their relationship further.
Season 3 tells vampire rock star Lestat (Sam Reid)’s side of the story.

Delaney Hayles returns as young vampire Claudia and Assad Zaman as Armand.
Jennifer Ehle joins the cast as Lestat’s mother, Ella Ballentine as Baby Jenks, Jeanine Serralles as Christine Claire, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marius,and Damien Atkins as Magnus
