Wicked star Cynthia Erivo wowed Simon Fraser University students today when she came over to say Hi, between takes of Lionsgate’s big-budget New York City corporate thriller Karoshi — with a samurai twist.
The story is set in a Japanese-influenced New York City and features a revenge twist. In Japanese, “karoshi” refers to an unexplained sudden death related to overwork.

Karoshi , under the working title Koi, has been set up at Simon Fraser University since late June, building a spectacular “Tea House” set at the other end of Convocation Mall .
There have been a few overnight shoots with NYC cops and rain towers on the Tea House set.
