Updated with new filming dates.
Ready for more Fifty Shades in Vancouver? Look for Seattle-billionaire-with-singular-tastes Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and the-girl-who-said-No Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) around town early next year. Sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are expected to film in metro Vancouver for five months next year from mid- February to mid-July.
Fifty Shades of Grey, the first film in trilogy, grossed more than half a billion dollars worldwide on an estimated budget of $40 million. James Foley will direct the back-to-back productions based on scripts by Niall Leonard, husband to the erotic trilogy’s author E.L. James.
Filming is expected to start February 16th and wrap July 12th next year (dates subject to change) according to today’s Directors Guild of Canada-BC list. Production code is Further Adventures of Max and Banks 2 & 3.
Fifty Shades Darker will be in theatres on February 16, 2017 and Fifty Shades Freed opens a year later on February 9, 2018.
Magnificent news.Thank so much
I would love to know when and if any dates changes, I am on Twitter at @heartofdornan and would love to have access to any official news of Jamie Dornan and photos taken of him.
As always, thank you for keeping the news of Fifty Shades of Grey filming up to date.
Cindy
That doesn’t seem to be a very long time too make 2 full length movies. Darker seems to have alot more things going on it. Didn’t it take 6 months to mke the first one. Doesn’t seem possible unless they rush through it and that would really take away from the movie
I love the first film carnt wait for the darker and freed to come out now we have the filming dates keep me posted please
I sure hope things will be done with time and care. Hast makes for waste and shoddy results. We the fans of FSOG deserve the best. We are the ones who supported and backed the first series of books and the first movie sequel.
Thanks for information. Nice and good
