The 8 studios/streamers, which make up the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), brought a new counter-proposal to the Writers Guild of America last Friday, after more than 100 days of strike action.
Six weeks of talks between the writers union (Writers Guild of America) and eight studios (Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Disney-ABC, NBC Universal, Paramount-CBS, Warner Bros Discovery, Sony) ended last night and the writers voted unanimously to call a strike as their three-year contract expired.
