NEW SEASON: THE FLASH Starts Filming Season 8 Mid-August in Vancouver With 5 Crossover-Style Episodes

The Flash starts filming season 8 on August 16th in Vancouver with five “crossover-style” special event episodes that will premiere November 16th on The CW.

What are these special event episodes?

The idea for The Flash is …other superheroes from the CWverse…will come together in each [of the] individual episodes. It will not quite be a crossover, but it will have a crossover-type feel with the introduction of all these characters. — Chairman & President Mark Pedowitz at The CW Press Conference.

Various heroes from the Arrowverse, or the CWverse as The CW calls it, will visit The Flash in the first five episodes of season 8.

Then the season goes on.

Season filming dates: August 16th to March 31st 2022.

Cast: Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker. Jessie L. Martin confirmed so far.

Original cast members Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes departed the show earlier in season 7 but Valdes returned for the final two episodes and Cavanagh is expected back in the finale.

Other OGs Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker and Jessie Martin have closed deals to return for season 8.

Will Barry & Iris’s kids from the future be back for season 8?

Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora aka XS.

And Jason Fisher as Bart aka Impulse.

Grant Gustin was busy at the start of the hiatus filming Netflix’s cop & canine feature Rescued By Ruby in Victoria.
