Supernatural and The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan has joined The Boys season 4 in a secret guest starring arc.
The Boys is a show about a group of vigilantes who take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their superpowers.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a “”superfan” of The Boys – showrunner and Supernatural creator Erik Kripke told E! before his casting was announced.
Having Morgan on The Boys could potentially reunite him with his Supernatural “son” Jensen Ackles, who played Soldier Boy in season 3.

Where did we leave the Boys?
At the end of season 3, Homelander seemed unstoppable as he introduced the world to his super-powered son Ryan and was cheered by the crowd for killing a protester who called him a facist.
Look at Ryan’s slow evil smile at the crowd reaction.
Much of season 4 is a battle for Ryan’s soul.
If Ryan turns into another little sociopathic Homelander, that’s apocalyptic. But on the other hand, if [Billy] Butcher’s able to pull him away from that, then you might have the only person who can actually fight Homelander. – showrunner Eric Kripke told TVLine.
What of season 3’s secret weapon — Jensen Ackles’s Soldier Boy? He was conflicted after learning that Homelander was his biological son but turned on him for being a wimp and purposefully struck his grandson Ryan in a climatic battle.
A danger to everyone, Soldier Boy was put back in a cryochamber, this time in CIA custody.
The Vigilantes survived to fight another season but with leader Billy Butcher maybe dying from all those doses of Compound V24 he took to gain temporary superpowers.
The Boys have their work cut out for them in season 4 but showrunner Eric Kripke vows he will not let Homelander win in the end.
