BC-Filmed MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS With Kurt & Wyatt Russell: Trailer

Father-and-son Kurt and Wyatt Russell co-star as older-and-younger Army vet Lee Shaw for the BC-filmed series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, premiering November 17th on Apple TV+.

After the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. 

Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later when Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The 10-episode series spans three generations and reveals buried secrets.

The latest group of heroes:

Former schoolteacher and San Francisco G-Day survivor Cate (Anna Sawai) travels to Japan to locate her MIA father. There, she uncovers a jaw-dropping betrayal and—with help from her half brother Kentario (Ben Watabe) and an American ex-pat hacker May (Kiersey Clemens)—her family’s link to the covert Monarch group that’s been investigating the Titans for decades.

Back in the 1950s, the younger Lee Shaw (Wyatt Russell) was part of a team of Monarch agents who were tracking Titans in hopes of discovering their origins.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

Joe Tippett (Mare of Easttown) is Tim, an office drone at secret organization Monarch who dreams of being a secret agent.

Elisa Lasowski is expert operative Duvall at Monarch, who helps guide her less field-oriented colleague Tim.

Monarch sets up a “refugee camp” on an empty lot near the north end of the Granville Bridge in downtown Vancouver, for a July 11th shoot.

Monarch turned Ladner near Westham Island and the docks in Steveston into 1950s Philippines, where Wyatt Russell was spotted.
