As befitting a town only recently unfrozen in time, the streets of Storybrooke are covered in fall leaves. Crew bring bags of them to scatter in Steveston whenever filming scenes here. And then they have to gather them all back up before departing. “They all have to be accounted for,” joked one crew member when I said that it looked like a lot of work for something that would degrade naturally.
Last Thursday at Once Upon a Time’s last shoot of the season in Steveston as Storybrooke, Josh Dallas helped repair the damage of the wind machine by kicking the leaves back into a pile between takes of a key scene on Moncton Street. It looked like fun.
