They discovered a gateway through time. But they weren’t the only ones.
Next month Syfy introduces dinosaurs-running-amok-in-Vancouver series Primeval: New World to Americans who haven’t watched it already in some way or another. A North American spinoff of the popular British series Primeval, the Vancouver team led by Evan Cross (Niall Matter) and Dylan Weir (Sara Canning) exists separately from ARC and most of the Primeval characters back in London, except for Connnor Temple (Andrew-Lee Potts), who shows up early on to warn Cross about something that has gone wrong. Not that surprising when you’re dealing with temporal anomalies and the prehistoric creatures who come through them. Some of Mark Savela’s best VFX dinosaurs are featured in the promo below.

Unfortunately, the first season of thirteen episodes is all we will get because primary network Space Channel in Canada opted not to renew the show for a second season.
Update: Primeval: New World garnered six nominations for the upcoming Leo Awards — Niall Matter for Best Male Lead Performance; Miranda Frignon for Best Female Supporting Performance and Mark Savela & co for Best VFX plus two screenwriting nominations and a picture editing nomination.
