Sunday, August 18th – Cedar Cove 1×06 For the Sake of the Children airs on the W Network: Olivia (Andie MacDowell) hears both sides of a divorce case causing painful memories of her own divorce. The episode opens with Olivia riding her bike in Deep Cove’s Panorama Park and then cuts to her riding the same bike to the court house played by the historic Fort Langley Community Hall. And later has scenes of Olivia strolling on the beach at Panorama Park with Jack (Dylan Neal).
Sunday, August 18th – Tim Burton’s Big Eyes preps for filming courtroom scenes at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Saturday, August 17th – Cedar Cove 1×06 For the Sake of the Children airs on the Hallmark Channel in the U.S. Cedar Cove is Hallmark’s first original series. When Calls the Heart, which starts filming September 9th here, is the second.

Friday, August 16th – Vancouver cop-from-the-future series Continuum 2×11 Second Guess airs on Syfy. Creator/showrunner Simon Barry directed episode about cyber attacks on our city causing chaos and the police crackdown driving people to Julian (Richard Harmon) and the Liber8 cause. Plus mayoral candidate Jim Martin (Tahmoh Penikett) returns.
Friday, August 16th – Once Upon a Time showrunner Adam Horowitz tweets JoAnna Garcia cast as Ariel the Little Mermaid and welcomes her to the OUAT family.
Friday, August 16th – Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart gets a September 9th filming start date on BC Production list. Based on books by Janette Oke, a young 19th century teacher (Erin Krakow) trades high society for life in a small prairie town where two widows (Jean Smart & Lori Loughlin) run things and there’s a new Constable (Daniel Lissing). Originally set to film to film in Telluride, Colorado, production moved to Vancouver.
