Adrian (Rowan Longworth) goes missing, filmed near Kerrisdale school. Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Holder go talk to Lieutenant Skinner (Elias Koteas) about the case, filmed in east Vancouver. Update: And Skinner turns out to be monster, the Pied Piper serial killer.
- Sunday, August 4th – Vancouver-cop-from-the-future series Continuum season two finale Second Time airs on Showcase. Kiera (Rachel Nichols) races to stop Alec (Erik Knudsen) from making a decision which could end her chance of getting home to 2077. Update: Kiera fails.

- Tuesday, July 30th – Tim Burton in a straw hat directs Big Eyes in Gastown: Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) arriving at and inside 49 Powell Street (Stussy clothing store) dressed as a San Francisco art gallery circa late 1950s. And an establishing shot with period cars driving by and period clothing on the background performers. Other scenes at 49 Powell Street and behind the store on Alexander Street feature Jason Schwartzman as the gallery owner looking at Keane portraits in drug store window.

- Tuesday, July 30th – The CW tells TCA press tour that Arrow will have Barry Allen/Flash arc in the second season leading to a spinoff show Flash. A show likely to be filmed in Vancouver since it comes from Arrow and The Tomorrow People showrunner Greg Berlanti.
- Tuesday, July 30th – The CW announces changes to Fall schedule: Supernatural season 9 to premiere on Tuesday, October 8th not October 15th.
- Tuesday, July 30th – The CW tells TCA press tour more about Supernatural spinoff set in Chicago. The backdoor pilot is scheduled to be Supernatural episode 9×20, but that could change. Unlike other spinoffs, Sam and Dean and the Impala will not feature in the story. It will be a new cast of humans and monsters who stay put in one city and don’t go on the road.
