  • Sunday, September 8th – Cedar Cove 1×09 And the Winner Is airs on the W network. The town’s charity bachelor auction starring Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal and Elyse Levesque and directed by Martin Wood. Some auction scenes filmed in North Vancouver’s Deep Cove had to be reshot elsewhere because of too much rain.
  • Sunday, September 8th – TVLine reports Spartacus’s Simon Merrells cast in recurring role on The Tomorrow People. Producers teased this casting of someone more evil than Mark Pellegrino’s Jedikiah at Saturday’s Paley Fest panel.
  • Saturday, September 7th – Words and Pictures gala presentation at Roy Thomson Hall with Clive Owen, Juliette Binoche and director Fred Schepisi at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
  • Saturday, September 7th – The Tomorrow People panel with Robbie Amell, Mark Pellegrino & the creative team at the Paley Fest preview of Fall TV in Los Angeles.
  • Saturday, September 7th – Cedar Cove 1×09 And the Winner Is airs on the Hallmark Channel in the U.S.
  • Saturday, September 7th – M. Night Shyamalan’s event series Wayward Pines films on the Robson Square side of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
  • Friday, September 6th – World premiere of Horns with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) as a likeable if angst-ridden devil at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
  • Friday, September 6th – Once Upon a Time films overnight on a closed set in Belcarra Park in Port Moody.
  • Friday, September 6th – The Tomorrow People‘s Robbie Amell & Peyton List film in and around Oceanic Plaza downtown.
  • Friday, September 6th – Bates Motel films in Steveston.
  • Friday, September 6th – A bloodied Matt Dillon and Carla Gugino film FOX event series Wayward Pines in Agassiz. Showrunner M. Night Shyamalan on set.
  • Friday, September 6th – Vancouver whydunnit Motive with Kristin Lehman & Louis Ferreira films at the Olympic Village. The crime drrama turned the Creekside Community Centre into a police station, filmed a walk and talk along the seawall to the Canoe Bridge and then a car crash scene on Walter Hardwick Avenue in the early evening.
  • Thursday, September 5th – Bates Motel films big exterior scene of people walking along the sidewalk near Horseshoe Bay Park turned into White Pine Bay. Then a sequence of  Dylan (Max Thieriot) meeting someone (Sons of Anarchy’s Kenny Johnson) in the marina. And a last sequence at the Horseshoe Bay Motel turned into The King’s Motel with both Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) and Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) at a motel not their own. How many motels are there in White Pine Bay?
  • Thursday, September 5th – A blooded Matt Dillon and Carla Gugino film Wayward Pines in Agassiz. Dillon photographed by The Chilliwack Times and many locals.
  • Thursday, September 5th – Arrow films in the Fraser Valley Bakery on the Fraser Highway in Aldergrove.
  • Thursday, September 5th – Official trailer released for RoboCop with Joel Kinnaman. Principal photography done in Toronto and Detroit but extensive reshoots in Vancouver, featuring the Vancouver Convention Centre as Omni Corp.
  • Thursday, September 5th – Big Read: Hugh Laurie as Tomorrowland Mayor at 1964 New York World’s Fair sets.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – Bates Motel films a couple having dinner in the Olive & Anchor on Bay Street in Horseshoe Bay. And then simulates a house fire on Douglas Street.
  • Wednesday September 4th – Arrow films in the Fraser Valley Bakery on the Fraser Highway in Aldergrove.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – Vancouver whydunnit crime drama Motive films at East 24th & Sophia in east Vancouver. Kristin Lehman & Louis Ferreira do an exterior scene outside the house.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – Once Upon a Time in Wonderland films on a closed set (with its own security guard and No Photos Allowed sign) in Burnaby’s Central Park but moves to a more public path in the evening for exterior scenes.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – Tomorrowland films 1964 New York World’s Fair scenes on the Main Street (old Watchmen) set in south Burnaby off Marine Way and at a small blue screen in the gravel Kent Hanger field in Vancouver off Marine Way. Tomorrowland also films a big bluescreen scene of construction workers in the north end of Kent Hangar field and a small scene of someone flying through the air near the Fraser River Path.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) media conference presents some of the BC filmmakers in the BC Spotlight and introduces the new hash tag #MustseeBC and a contest. Documentary Oil Sands Karaoke represented by director Charles Wilkinson. Mockumentary Leap 4 Your Life by mother-daughter team Barbara & Taylor Hill and star April Telek. Comedy That Burning Feeling by director Jason James and actor Tyler Labine, who had to leave early because his pregnant wife was three days overdue. Drama 3 Days in Havana by co-director Tony Pantages & actor Christopher Heyerdahl, who went to high school together. Down River by director Ben Ratner and his wife and fellow actor Jennifer Spence.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – EW’s Inside TV reports Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey’s Matthew) will voice The Tomorrow People‘s biological computer TIM. Unfortunately voice work does not have to be done in Vancouver.
  • Wednesday, September 4th – TVLine reports Arrow casts Spartacus’s Cynthia Addai-Robinson as villain Amanda Waller.
  • Tuesday, September 3rd – King & Maxwell 1×02 Second Chances with Jon Tenney & Rebecca Romijn airs on Showcase. Filmed at The Centre, on the roof of the Vancouver Public Library and in and around the Ivanhoe Hotel on Main Street.
  • Tuesday, September 3rd – Bates Motel films on its 12-room motel and gothic house set in Aldergrove.
  • Tuesday, September 3rd –  CBC’s Vancouver-as-Yellowknife series Arctic Air films in Fort Langley.
  • Tuesday, September 3rd – Tomorrowland films on its construction set at the Kent Hangar field in Vancouver.
  • Tuesday, September 3rd – Vancouver whydunit crime drama Motive with Kristin Lehman & Louis Ferreira starts filming its second season off Main Street near Queen Elizabeth Park.
  • Tuesday September 3rd – EW’s Inside TV reports that first of Arrow‘s three Flash episodes starts filming September 30th.
  • Tuesday, September 3rd – TVLine reports Supernatural’s grandpappy Gil McKinney cast as Ariel’s Prince on Once Upon a Time
  • Tuesday, September 3rd – News breaks worldwide that Fifty Shades of Grey has cast Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) as the billionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as the student Anastasia Steele. The S&M romance will start filming in Vancouver on [November 13th] under the production code name The Adventures of Max and Banks. Production Weekly reports will film at North Vancouver’s North Shore Studios.
