Fifty Shades of Grey crew hung  grey Washington State University – Vancouver banners on the University of British Columbia campus today confirming that Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson)’s graduation scenes will be filmed here. A massive interlocking series of white tents on the grassy Main Mall [are a giant graduation extras holding area]. All the activity suggests filming will be tomorrow but there are no notices on campus so we will have to see if and when cast, extras and production show up.

Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan)’s continuous pressure on Ana to sign his contract complicates her graduation but his auditorium speech about eradicating hunger and poverty across the globe is revealing. His interactions with valedictorian Kate (Eloise Mumford), Kate’s brother Ethan and Ana’s stepdad Ray (Callum Keith Rennie) at the after-party confuse her further. What will she do?

Crew added leaves to bare branches in the background of the auditorium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to make December in Vancouver, B.C. look like May in Vancouver, Washington.

  1. Nice pics, just sad its other side of planet,Europe Belgium here and i can only dream all of these,or even dream of any stuffs, because EU cannot order nothing from USA here. Keep doing good work, maybe someday DVD even come here…I LOVE FSOG,even when i cannot enjoy any stuffs or so.

  2. Hi there, do you happen to know the name of the production company in charge of filming 50 shades in europe? We know they will be filming in Monaco where we are based and we’d like to contact them to offer our local logistics services, etc…thnks very much! Elena

    1. Fifty Shades of Grey is filming the first book of the trilogy only, as far as I know, so there won’t be anything in Monaco this time. You can either contact Universal Pictures/Focus Features or the hands-on producer Dana Brunetti (he’s on Twitter and Facebook). Might be smart to wait until the first film wraps though and he has time to look ahead to the rest of the trilogy.
