Apes versus Humans. In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Andy Serkis’s Caesar leads a growing nation of genetically-evolved apes who are threatened by human survivors of a devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. Directed by Matt Reeves and filmed partly in the forests of Golden Ears Park, Capilano Canyon and other B.C, woods but mainly in Lousiana, the film co-stars Judy Greer as Caesar’s ape-mate Cornelia; Gary Oldman as Dreyfus; Jason Clarke as Malcolm, Keri Russell as Ellie and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Alexander.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is in theatres on July 11th.
