Bravo’s upcoming hour-long dramedy from showrunner Marti Noxon is a contemporary and fun take on a woman tackling life after divorce with the help of her girlfriends. Based on books by Vicki Iovine, the 13-episode Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce follows best-selling self-help author Abby (House’s Lisa Edelstein), who tries to keep it a secret that she’s separated from her husband (Paul Adelstein), as she navigates her new life in Los Angeles as a single woman in her early forties. Not surprisingly, she begins to find advice from her divorced friends lawyer Lyla (Janeane Garofalo) and former model Phoebe (Beau Garrett) more relevant than her married ones and that leads to some big changes and apparently some romantic action with a handsome man (Motive’s Warren Christopher).
