Vancouver’s timey-wimey Continuum, starring Rachel Nichols, Victor Webster and Eric Knudsen, and whydunit crime drama Motive, starring Kristen Lehman and Louis Ferreira, are up for Best Dramatic Series at the Canadian Screen Awards tonight, along with Toronto-filmed Remedy and past winner and this year’s favourite Orphan Black and Montreal-shot 19-2.

Vancouver’s third big homegrown series Arctic Air wasn’t nominated, but Adam Beach is for his lead performance as Bobby Martin.

And Julia Voth for her lead performance as Kim in sitcom Package Deal, filmed in front of a live Burnaby audience.

Motive came in with a slew of nominations for the first two galas but lost to Orphan Black and other Toronto shows for everything but Callum Keith Rennie as a guest Killer.

The Canadian Screen Awards in Television have been particularly Toronto-centric this year with very few going to the ROC (Rest of Canada) apart from Montreal-filmed 19-2 and Halifax-shot Call Me Fitz.

Update: Orphan Black named Best Dramatic series over Continuum, Motive, Remedy and 19-2. Orphan Black’s Tatania Maslaney wins for best female lead performance in drama and 19-2’s Jared Keeso (who lives in Vancouver) for best male lead performance in drama over Arctic Air’s Adam Beach. Call Me Fitz named Best Comedic series and Joanna Cassidy awarded best female comedic performance over Package Deal’s Julia Voth.
