Who’s kicking ass in downtown Vancouver’s Business District overnight? That would be Arrow’s Black Canary — blonde hair, black mask, black leather skin suit and all. The fight sequence started in Portal Park with the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) and Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) confronting some bad guys. I geeked out like The Flash’s Cisco when I spotted her blonde head among all the backgrounders.

During the early part of the shoot, Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Harper’s motorcade (including a personal ambulance) drove past set twice to get to and from an engagement at the Pinnacle Hotel.
Back on set, the fight with the bad guys has moved out of the park and into traffic on the 1000 block of West Hastings Street by now, with filming expected to wrap around 5 a.m. this morning.
