Update: Series filmed in Los Angeles not Vancouver.
An American sniper on the run from the U.S. government. Ryan Phillippe (Secrets and Lies) plays the Bob Lee Swagger role in the USA Network pilot Shooter, filming in Vancouver’s Plaza of Nations today. Based on the movie starring Mark Wahlberg, Shooter is about a former Marine sniper who leaves the military and goes off the grid after his mission goes horribly wrong. His former commanding officer now secret service agent Isaac Johnson (Omar Epps) enlists him back into service to help thwart a plot against the President but it turns out he’s been double-crossed and a national manhunt for Swagger ensues. Is Ryan Phillippe among the crowd of backgrounders today or will he be on the Plaza of Nations roof? Shooter is expected to film here from October 20th to November 6th.
