Michelle Rodriguez is the hitman turned hitwoman in Tomboy: A Revenger’s Tale filming in Vancouver. A rogue surgeon played by Sigourney Weaver (Alien franchise’s Ripley) gives the hit man an unasked-for gender reassignment from male to female assassin. Other cast includes Tony Shalhoub as a Californian psychiatrist; Anthony LaPaglia as a crook known as “Honest John”; and Caitlin Gerard as Johnnie the nurse. Tomboy filmed yesterday at Vancouver’s Ovaltine Cafe and in the alley behind. The Ovaltine Cafe is best known on screen as an iconic X-Files location for Jose Chung’s from Outer Space.
