SATURN AWARDS: Vancouver’s CONTINUUM & Vancouver-Shot THE X-FILES Get 3 Saturn Nominations Each

Update:

Continuum won Best Sci-Fi TV series. The Flash won Best Superhero series. The Winchester brothers themselves — Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki — presented Supernatural creator Eric Kripke with the Dan Curtis Legacy Award. And Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist won the Breakthrough Performance Award.

Every year the Saturn Awards delivers in recognizing genre shows and talent which tend to go unnoticed at the Emmys, Canadian Screen Awards or BAFTAs. 2016 did not disappoint. The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones garnered the most nominations in the television category, but Vancouver’s Continuum earned three big ones for its final season.
