It’s not morphin time — yet. Rita Repulsa sucked the life out of the Power Rangers in Steveston as Angel Grove today but they didn’t morph into their costumes. Speculation is production needs to release official images of the Weta Workshop suits before we’ll see any morphin here. One after another, the Power Rangers movie shot scenes of Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks or double) with individual Rangers.

The new cast for the movie is a solid unit after filming for almost two months. Dacre Montgomery and RJ Cyler cracked up laughing as cast took turns being mauled by Repulsa (Banks).

Waves as Fenix Jewelers for night shoot.
Dean Israelite is directing the film based on a script by Ashley Miller and Zack Stenz and franchise creator Haim Saban is producing.
Filming started in Vancouver on February 29th and is expected to wrap May 25th  (date subject to change) under the production code SHIRT via the Directors Guild of Canada-BC Production List.
The Power Rangers movie is expected in theatres on March 24, 2017.
