The Lifetime movie starts filming in metro Vancouver in mid-August. What’s it about? Two kids meet on the Venice Boardwalk and start a unexpected if beautiful friendship. CC (Idina Menzel) is an aspiring singer and Hillary (not yet cast) is the privileged daughter of a big-time civil rights lawyer who can’t find her place in life.
Idina Menzel will perform the movie’s iconic songs Wind Beneath My Wings, The Glory of Love and others.
Lifetime’s Beaches remake starts filming August 15th and is expected to wrap September 15th (dates subject to change) according to the Directors Guild of Canada-BC Production List.
