Woody Woodpecker is not happy at the prospect of losing his home. Written and directed by Alex Zamm, the live-action and CGI animation film is a turf war between Timothy Omundson as bad guy Lance Walters and animated Woody Woodpecker at his rascally best.

Brazilian actress Thaila Ayala co-stars as Lance Walters’ girlfriend, along with Graham Verchere as Toby Walters and Emily Holmes as Linda Walters. And Jordan Largy as Samantha Bartlett, Scott McNeil as Nate Grimes and Adrian Glynn McMorran as Otto Grimes. Woody Woodpecker has been filming in Squamish since June 20th.

Woody Woodpecker made his first appearance in 1940 but didn’t hit it big until the 1950s in a TV cartoon series that aired for decades.
Woody Woodpecker the movie is expected to wrap July 27th (date subject to change), according to the Directors Guild of Canada-BC Production list.
