Humanity’s last hope — Vanessa Van Helsing — returns for a second season of filming in Vancouver this Winter.
The first season of Van Helsing opened with a mysterious woman (Kelly Overton) in a coma guarded by a marine named Axel in an empty Seattle hospital.

When vampires break in, one feasts on her blood and falls to the floor, coughing and retching.
The bite brings the woman out of her coma and she immediately kicks ass with the rest of the vampires in the room. Why is this single Seattle mother Vanessa Seward so important? Her blood can turn a vampire back into a human. But now that she’s awake, all she wants to do is find her daughter. And the marine won’t let her.

Van Helsing is expected to start filming season 2 on February 8th in metro Vancouver and wrap mid-June (dates subject to change), according to the Directors Guild of Canda -BC Production List.
Van Helsing airs on Syfy in the U.S. and recently started streaming on Netflix Canada.
