Every Town Has a Story.
A mysterious young woman named Ryn (Eline Powell) arrives in Bristol Cove during its annual Mermaid Days Festival, which celebrates the local legend that this coastal town was once home to mermaids. Marine biologist Ben (Alex Roe) is drawn to Ryn. Turns out she’s a mermaid and there are others like her.
Fola Evans-Akingola, Ian Verdun and Rena Owen co-star.
Eric Wald and Dean White wrote the hour-long pilot. Emily Whitesell is the showrunner.
The Deep pilot filmed in Vancouver last Fall from September 30th to October 21st, with North Vancouver’s Deep Cove as Bristol Cove.
The Siren series is expected to start filming August 2nd and wrap November 16th (dates subject to change).
