FANS: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Meets Hero Kid at SKYSCRAPER Set in North Vancouver

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently flew in kid hero Jacob O’Connor and his family to visit him on the North Vancouver set of his upcoming action thriller Skyscraper. Jacob saved his brother’s life with a move he said he learned from watching The Rock in San Andreas.

Ladies and gentlemen, I finally met this real life 10yr old hero, Jacob O’Connor. He rescued his 2yr old brother after finding him facedown in their pool. I said, not only do I shake hands, but when I meet heroic kids, I give hugs. now get in here. This story grabbed my heart. 10yr Jacob O’Connor found his little 2yr old brother, Dylan laying facedown in their pool. He pulled his little brother out and started CPR & chest compressions. He saved little Dylan’s life. Jacob said he learned how to do this by watching me in his favorite movie, SAN ANDREAS. I’m so amazed and impressed by this little 10yr old boy’s heroic actions and calm instincts in the middle of that kind of emergency distress. I now need to shake young Jacob’s hand…

Meeting Jacob.

Last week The Rock made fan Mr. Excellent’s night by stopping and meeting him after a long shoot in studio.

No wonder The Rock is the Top Actor in the Social Media Rankings.

Skyscraper is filming at Washington Studio at Vancouver Drydocks in North Vancouver. It sounds like a Die Hard movie set in Hong Kong. The Rock stars as Will Ford, a former veteran and FBI hostage rescue team leader, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. When the world’s tallest, safest tower goes up in flames in Hong Kong while he’s on assignment, Johnson finds himself framed for the arson. How will he clear his name and rescue his family trapped in the tower above the fire line?

On Friday, Skyscraper filmed a stunt in studio of The Rock scaling the world’s tallest building.

1am. On set of #SKYSCRAPER. Minutes away from me scaling the world’s tallest building in what will be insanely rad stunt and breathtaking scene in our movie. Our Director of Photography, Robert Elswit won an Oscar for one of my favorite movies – THERE WILL BE BLOOD. The man knows how to calm a set before all hell breaks loose.. thus the beautiful jazz music of the iconic Sonny Collins in the background. Skyscraper started filming here in mid-August and is expected to wrap mid-November.

It looks like production will leave the Drydocks at some point for on-location filming in downtown Vancouver.

Skyscraper will be in theatres next summer on July 13th, 2018.
