BIG MOVIE: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Adaption With James Marsden in Ladysmith

James Marsden is filming the Sonic the Hedgehog movie adaption in Ladysmith  this week.

Filming in the Vancouver Island town began last Friday inside the Ladysmith Inn. Today is the first day out on the Main Street.

James Marsden had a busy day as the Green Hills Sheriff.

And stopping traffic so that the town ducklings could cross Main Street.

What’s Sonic about?

Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartzand his pals Tails and Knuckles team up to stop Dr. Eggman Robotnik’s plan for world dominaton.

Cast: James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and Jim Carrey.

James Marsden is Tom Wachowski, a sarcastic sheriff.

Jim Carrey is Dr. Eggman Robotnik, but his part likely will be green-screened in.

Paramount’s live-action/animated Sonic has budgeted $7 million for the Ladysmith shoot.

“We searched all over B.C. and have chosen Ladysmith as our hero town for our movie,” location manager Abraham Fraser told the Nanaimo News Bulletin.
