Lost in Space Season 2

Netflix’s Lost in Space will film season 2 in Vancouver but begins production in Iceland and then the Alberta Badlands. The new season wraps filming next year.
Filming Dates: September 4th to January 30th, 2019.
Cast: Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Maxwell Jenkins, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Parker Posey and Ignacio Serricchio.
The remake of the classic 1960s series films in metro Vancouver — with Toby Stephens as Dr. John Robinson, Molly Parker as his wife Dr. Maureen Robinson,Mina Sundwall as their daughter Penny Robinson, Taylor Russell as their daughter Judy Robinson, Maxwell Jenkins as their son Will Robinson and Ignacio Serricchio as smuggler Don West. Plus in a gender twist, Parker Posey is Dr. Smith.

Location manager Michael Gazetas told BC Creates the show filmed in metro Vancouver, Squamish. Kamloops and Cache Creek in season one.
In metro Vancouver, Lost in Space shoots at Langley farms — Johnson Farm and Emerald Springs — and in North Vancouver’s Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve and Lynn Canyon Park.

The original Lost in Space aired on American networks at the same time as the then less-popular Star Trek — which went on to spawn multiple series and movies, including the latest movie Star Trek: Beyond and new series Star Trek: Discovery. Why didn’t Lost in Space do the same? It aired for three seasons on CBS and while there were numerous attempts to reboot it as a series there’s only been one film with William Hurt until Netflix came along.
