NEXT: THE FLASH’s Godspeed Episode Directed by Danielle Panabaker Airs This Week

The Flash Season 5.

It’s Nora’s backstory in 2049 on The Flash this week.

She starts off in present-day Central City locked in the Pipeline by her father Barry Allen, who’s furious that she’s been working with his greatest enemy, Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash.

DANIELLE PANABAKER DIRECTS — After discovering that Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is working with Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) disagree about how to handle their daughter in the wake of this shocking news. Team Flash isn’t sure they can trust Nora, so they go through her journal to find out exactly how she came to work alongside their greatest nemesis. Danielle Panabaker directed the episode written by Judalina Neira & Kelly Wheeler (#518).

Danielle Panabaker directs Jessica Parker Kennedy as  young Nora.

Godspeed is young Nora’s first speedster foe, Danielle Panabaker told TVLine.

Vancouver fans saw Godspeed fall onto a Central City Citizen sign (the newspaper founded by Iris West-Allen in 2019) in a stunt filmed on the east side of the CBC Vancouver building in late February. The Central City Citizen sign and an ad for a new Razer exhibition at the Flash Museum showed the action was taking place in a future Central City, after the Flash goes missing.

Danielle Panabaker shared some photos from that night in downtown Vancouver.

I saw her directing Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, arriving at the Vancouver Public Library as future Central City.

Barry takes Nora back to the future and warns her not to return to 2019.

I’ll always remember this time in my life as incredibly powerful. Today, I begin directing my first episode ever. The Flash has very much operated as family to me these past five years, so to be able to direct on this show is extremely close to my heart and a bucket list moment for me. Thank you to Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti for the opportunity and to the entire team for their constant support – I’m extremely grateful. Working with a network who understands the power of inclusivity in storytelling is something I will never take for granted. Excited for you all to see episode 518!  — Danielle Panabaker.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
