This was the big one, teased by the Crisis on Infinite Earths EP Marc Guggenheim.
A DC crossover like no other.
The Flash (Ezra Miller) from DC Movies meets The Flash (Grant Gustin) from DC TV.
The cameo happened on the Flash soundstages in Vancouver Film Studios after production on the crossover had wrapped.
Grant Gustin kept it a secret even from some of his crossover co-stars.
See Melissa Benoist’s comment: YOU KEPT THIS SECRET SO WELL. NONE of us knew!!!! Or did they know?! Was I the only one that didn’t know?!

What kind of logistics did this take?
After filming wrapped on the Crossover in Vancouver, Warner Bros. TV boss Peter Roth called Marc Guggenheim and said: “I know you’re locked, but can you put Ezra [Miller] into the crossover?” Guggenheim said he could make it happen. He then called The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace who checked that Grant Gustin was 100% OK with it. And Gustin was enthusiastic. Guggenheim and Wallace got on the phone with Miller and read him the scene and he was into it, too. Miller flew up to Vancouver and much to everyone’s surprise went unnoticed and no one from the Flash crew leaked the cameo so they were able to keep it a secret.
