The Vancouver Film industry shut down Friday. Sometimes in the middle of a shot.
Netflix sent out emails Thursday telling cast and crews of a 2-week hiatus.
Some Warner Bros. TV unit managers sent emails Friday morning telling cast and crews not to show up for work.
Others were shut down in the middle of a shot.
This happened today. 25 shows are now shut down in Vancouver. Some in the middle of a shot. My heart goes out to all, but a special allegiance to the crews who work in Vancouver film. With no notice, 30,000 people have been laid off. People with mortgages and bills. #staystrong✊

These shows joined series and movies around the world that have halted production or delayed starts as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.
Warner Bros. TV
With the rapidly changing events related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros. Television Group is halting production on some of our 70+ series and pilots currently filming or about to begin.There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on any of our productions, but the health and safety of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority. Riverdale had already suspended production of season 4 in Vancouver after learning that a “team member” was recently in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19.

The Flash suspended production on season 6 Friday morning “until further notice”.
Supernatural suspended production Friday. It was filming the penultimate episode of its final season and not scheduled to wrap until early April.
Supergirl suspended production Friday. It had three days of filming left on its season 5 finale.
All production suspended. Effective immediately. Shit just got very real. Better go try and buy some bog roll and food. 😳

Charmed suspended production today.
Correction: The 100 is an exception to the shutdown. Its final day of production in Vancouver is Saturday, March 14th.

Netflix informed its film crews in Vancouver by email Thursday night of a two-week hiatus effective immediately.
Current Netflix productions in Vancouver include the Sandra Bullock life-after-prison movie known as the Untitled Graham King Project.
And Season 2 of Another Life with Katee Sackhoff.
TV Pilots
NBC pilots Debris, La Brea and CW pilot Kung Fu suspended production.
Snowpiercer.
Snowpiercer suspended production and wrapped season 2 with a week of filming left to do.
Hallmark
Crown Media suspended production on all its original movies in Vancouver.
Nickelodeon
The Astronauts suspended production on its first season.
Disney +
The Mighty Ducks Season One suspended production.
Peter Pan & Wendy start date may be postponed as Disney pauses production on its features.
Los Angeles.
Elsewhere, Grey’s Anatomy is on a production hiatus for at least two weeks in Los Angeles.
NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans have suspended production.
Chicago.
NBC Universal has suspended production on its Chicago P.D., Fire & Med series, among an estimated 35 shows.
