Update: Superman & Lois pushed to Fall start.
New series Superman & Lois is expected to have a Summer not a Spring start in Vancouver, assuming it’s safe to film by then.
With production suspended worldwide because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Upfronts going virtual there’s no need to risk the safety of cast and crew for a pilot.
Superman & Lois are parents of twin teen boys Jonathan and Jordan Kent in the new series which premieres next season on The CW.
The CW ordered Superman & Lois to series last October and planned to shoot for 8 weeks this Spring but that changed as the coronavirus spread.
Cast: Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, and Alexander Garfin.
Director: Lee Toland Krieger.
Superman & Lois revolves around the world’s most famous super hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
Synopsis of the pilot from Prime Timer:
A series of flashbacks: from baby Kal-El’s pod crashing on Earth to when Clark Kent leaves Smallville for Metropolis where he becomes Superman and works at the Daily Planet. There he falls in love with Lois Lane, marries her and they become the parents of twin boys Jonathan and Jordan Kent. Something brings Clark back to Smallville when the twins are teens.
Jordan Elsass is the popular athlete Jonathan Kent.
Alexander Garfin is Jordan Kent who prefers to spend his free time alone playing video games.

We met Tyler Hoechlin’s version of Clark Kent/Superman in season 2 of Supergirl.
And met Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane two years later in the Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds.
On Smallville’s Kent Farm in Aldergrove for the Elseworlds crossover.
Superman & Lois returned for the next crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths with their adorable baby son Jonathan.
And visited Earth 167’s Kent Farm where Smallville’s Clark Kent (Tom Welling) was living with Lois and their two daughters.
But after Crisis on Infinite Earths and the changes from Oliver Queen’s reboot of the multiverse, we found out Superman & Lois have teen boys at home — not an adorable baby.

The CW announced the spinoff pilot at the end of October as filming wrapped on the crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths in Vancouver.

Casting began in November.
