The first drama series to restart production in Canada.
Syfy’s vampire series Van Helsing has resumed filming of its fifth and final season, with a reduced unit in Kamloops to test out its new Covid-19 safety protocols.
Restart filming dates: June 29th to September 17th (via DGC-BC Production List).
Cast: Kelly Overton as Vanessa, Jonathan Scarfe as Axel, Tricia Helfer as The Dark One, Jennifer Ceon Garcia as Ivory, Aleks Paunovic as Julius, Keeya King as Violet, Nicole Munz as Jack, Neal McDonough, Vincent Gale, Rukiya Bernard, Richard Harmon and WWE star Big Show.
Van Helsing season 5 shot the first three episodes in Slovakia before the mid-March industry-wide production shutdown out off coronavirus fears.

Tricia Helfer joined the cast in season 4 as Dracula. And Christopher Heyerdahl exited with the death of his character.
Missy Peregrym joined Van Helsing for seasons 2 and 3 as Scarlett Harker.
