Six months after Sandra Bullock’s recent parolee Ruth Slater ran into Surrey City Hall in take after take, she’s back to do it again.

Netflix’s next big Sandra Bullock movie returned to Vancouver this September to finish production.

Target filming dates: September 2nd – October 7th.

What’s it about?

About a woman’s attempt to rejoin society after she serves a 15-year prison stretch for the murder of two policemen. The tragedy happened after the policemen came to evict her family from their farmhouse. Her hope is to live quietly and reunite with her troubled younger sister, but the paroled woman is targeted for a revenge campaign by two sons of one of her victims.

Production on the life-after-prison movie from Christopher Quarrie started in early February in Vancouver and was suspended in mid-March when film & TV production shut down around the world out of corona virus fears

We knew Sandra Bullock wouldn’t be her usual glamorous self when Netflix released a first look at her character.

The Netflix movie is an adaption of a British mini-series about life after prison.

Adapted by Christopher McQuarrie from Sally Wainwright’s British miniseries Unforgiven, the film  follows Ruth Slater (Sandra Bullock) who after serving a prison sentence for a violent crime, tries to re-enter a society that refuses to forgive her past. Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
