What’s it like to film in Vancouver during a global pandemic?
Well once you’re through the 14-day quarantine on arrival you can go outside and enjoy many activities almost normally, until it’s time for another Covid-19 test before going to set.

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have been in Vancouver since early August to film the final two episodes of Supernatural.
And are preparing to leave the many friends they’ve made in their 15 seasons of filming Supernatural here.
How to film in a pandemic?
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki flew into Vancouver on Sunday, August 2nd, to do 14 days of full quarantine in their Vancouver apartments, with only their dogs for company.

Rob Benedict and Jake Abel did the 2-week full quarantine, too.
On August 18th, cameras rolled again on Supernatural’s second-to-last episode, Inherit the Earth, after a five month+ production shutdown because of the coronvirus.

Sam & Dean & Baby.
Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Alexander Calvert and the Impala were on location in Cloverdale on Monday, August 24th, at Showalter’s, a gas station set built by Jerry Wanek’s production design team and named in honour of the director John Showalter.

Supernatural had asked fans to stay away to help keep the production safe for cast and crew, so there wasn’t the usual crowd watching.

Supernatural added another day of filming to the second-to-last episode.
Then Adam and God left us.

Last Friday, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles headed out to set to start shooting the series finale , Carry On, directed by Robert Singer.
As I head out to the first day on my LAST season finale, I can’t help but be incredibly grateful for all that #Supernatural and the #SPNFamily mean to me. It’s been an incredible journey, to say the least. I, for one, am hoping that #SupernaturalNeverDies — Jared Padalecki.
So last night we completed 326 episodes of Supernatural. And at the very end of every one of those scripts are three words — To Be Continued. Today we start episode 327. And at the very botton of the very last page of this script there are only two words — The End…..Happy Friday everybody. — Jensen Ackles chokes up.
Above “The End” it says “The final chord of the song plays” and then: “BLACK” via @DeeMacNY.
The title Carry On refers to the Kansas song Carry On Wayward Son which has played at the beginning of each season finale except season one.

Supernatural expects to wrap production next week.
Supernatural’s final run of seven episodes premieres October 8th on The CW.
