Day 12 of Quarantine. I’m finally…officially…bored with myself. I’ve read all the scripts, watched all the shows, caught up on all the movies…
I’ve started to cook…oh and draw. Send help (or scotch), – Jensen Ackles.

Soldier Boy in The Boys comic books written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Darick Robertson.

The Boys is telling the history of  Soldier Boy and the Payback team — Eagle the Archer, Tek Knight, Swatto, Crimson Countess, and Stormfront — in season 3 to give the show a chance to tackle the history of Vought in America and how this world got to where it is with  Stormfront manipulating the masses toward alt-right extremism.

One of the things I love most about the world in the comic books isn’t just how fleshed out it is, but the history of it. It goes back 60, 70 years and it’s just as fleshed out as it is today. One of the reasons that we’re getting into Soldier Boy [in season 3] and that team, Payback, is we’re interested in exploring a little bit of how we got here. Through the history of the supes, we can tell a little bit about the history of America and how we ended up in the current fraught position that we’re in. Soldier Boy gives us an opportunity to do that. – The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke to EW.

Soldier Boy and his team Payback were the seven before The Seven.
