Supergirl is the DC super hero I want to see most in The Flash season 8’s five crossover-style episodes this Fall.

But logistically that may not be possible with Supergirl wrapping production in Vancouver early this August.

Still, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace reportedly is in preliminary talks with Black Lightning star Cress Williams about guest-starring in these special event episodes and that show already has wrapped production in Atlanta and aired its series finale.

What are these special event episodes?

Various heroes from the Arrowverse, or the CWverse as The CW calls it, will visit The Flash in the first five episodes of season 8.

The idea for The Flash is [showrunner] Eric Wallace and [executive producer Greg Berlanti] have come together, and we’re talking about other superheroes from the CWverse that will come together in each [of the] individual episodes. It will not quite be a crossover, but it will have a crossover-type feel with the introduction of all these characters. — Chairman & President Mark Pedowitz at The CW Press Conference.

Production on the new season of The Flash is expected to start this summer in Vancouver and the first of the five special event episodes to air mid-November on The CW.

It’s too soon to say which heroes from the ongoing CW shows Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Stargirl, Superman & Lois, and the by-then wrapped Supergirl and Black Lightning will be guest-starring in The Flash. Maybe DC’s teen super hero Naomi (Kaci Walfall) from the upcoming CW show Naomi could make an appearance?

The Covid pandemic put the kibosh on a crossover this season.
