REEL THANKSGIVING CHALLENGE Met Goal of $200K For Vancouver Food Bank. WHEN CALLS THE HEART Raised Most

The 9th Annual REEL Thanksgiving Challenge met its goal of raising $200,000 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank from the casts, crews and fans of 16 productions filming in Vancouver.

Team Hearties from Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart raised the most over the two weeks of the Challenge.

16 teams: A Million Little Things, Devil in Ohio, Grease: The Rise of The Pink Ladies, JFC, Kung Fu, Legends of Tomorrow, Nancy Drew, Resident Alien, Riverdale, Shogun, Superman & Lois, The Flash, The Good Doctor, Virgin River, When Calls the Heart, Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas.

Day to day Challenge winners.

Day 1 – Team Drew Crew (Nancy Drew) which raised $10K on the first day.

Day 2 – Team Superman & Lois.

Day 3 – Team Superman & Lois.

Day 4 – Team Superman & Lois..

Day 5: -Team Hearties (When Calls the Heart).

Day 6 – Team Shogun.

Day 7 – Team Hearties (When Calls the Heart).

Day 8 – Team The Good Doctor, which raised $19K in one day.

Day 9 – Team Millionaires ( A Million Little Things).

Day 10 – Team Drew Crew (Nancy Drew.)

Over 9 years, the REEL Thanksgiving Challenge has raised almost $1.5 million for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Team Mysterious Benedict Society won the Reel Thanksgiving Challenge Lin 2020, raising over $65,000 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. 

Team Supernatural won the Challenge in 2019, raising $47,450. It also won the social media challenge thanks to some viral videos from its stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki & Misha Collins and crew.

Team Supernatural won the Challenge in 2018 too, raising $40,592.
