Season 2 of Freeform’s breakout series Cruel Summer is filming in Vancouver this Spring/Summer..

Will Cruel Summer continue the story of a popular teen who is abducted by the vide-principal and the awkward teen who seemingly takes her place as Queen Bee?
Told from their perspectives, Cruel Summer takes place over three summers — 1993-95 — in a small Texas town with Olivia Holt as popular, perfect Kate Wallis and Chiara Aurelia as nerdy, awkward Jeanette Turner.
Found alive a year later, Kate accuses Jeanette of seeing her in captivity but not reporting it, making Jeanette the most despised person in America.
At the court case a year later,, everyone scrambles to pick sides as the true story unfolds. It turns out it was another girl Mallory who witnessed the abduction and so Kate publicly apologizes to Jeanette. And Jeanette publicly forgives Kate. But does she really?
