Max Thieriot from Bates Motel is bringing CBS pilot Cal Fire to film in Vancouver this Spring.
Cal Fire is inspired by Thieriot’s own experiences growing up in Northern California wildfire country .
Filming dates: March 16th to April 1st 2022.
In Cal Fire, seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence, young convict Bode Donovan joins a firefighting program that returns him to his small Northern California hometown, where he and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish massive blazes across the region. Prison inmate Bode joins the Cal Fire unit to get his sentence reduced after his latest parole bid is rejected. But when Bode is sent to a camp nearby his old home town, he’s panicky and desperate to be reassigned. During the middle of a raging fire that threatens the town, Bode risks his own life to save Jake, a firefighter trapped in the inferno — at which point Bode’s mysterious connection to Jake and the town comes to glaring light.
