Jensen Ackles will be on The Boys panel at the SXSW Festival this March in Austin, Texas.
Ackles won’t have far to go., as Austin is his home, but this is another indication that his Soldier Boy role in season 3 is a big one.
The Boys is coming off an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for season 2.

Season 3 of The Boys debuts Friday, June 3rd, on Amazon Prime Video, with three of the eight episodes dropping the first Friday, followed by new episodes each Friday until the season finale on July 8th.
The Boys is a show about a group of vigilantes who take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their superpowers.

Who is Soldier Boy?
Jensen Ackles called Soldier Boy a “jackass” in January when he spoke to Michael Rosenbaum on the Inside of You podcast.
He’s a grandpa. He’s from the ’40s. He fought in World War II, and he’s just this curmudgeon, bigoted a–hole. He doesn’t age, so he’s this 40-year-old superhero who’s really 80 years old or 90 years old. There’s just so much material there.. — Jensen Ackles describing his character.
[The Boys] find me and I’ve been essentially in captivity for a while. And so, when they do, I’m bearded and I look like [I’m from the movie] Cast Away, but then they clean me up and I get my superhero outfit back on and I go to town. — Jensen Ackles.
Filming in Toronto:
Jensen Ackles arrived with a bushy beard in Toronto five or six weeks into production of season 3 last year to quarantine and started filming April 19th.
